Nine By Two, short story collection

Ian Lahey — Sat, 04 Jan 2020 16:48:17 +0000

A medieval headache, a programmer who just can’t figure out his co-worker and an unexpected dragon are just some of the things you just won’t be able to avoid if you read this collection of short stories. If you were planning to beat the Guinness World Record for most days without smiling, this book is sure to ruin your day.
You have been warned.

And if that wasn’t enough, it’s free to read on Kindle Unlimited

Here is what the poor readers are saying:

29 January 2020: Delightful tales
This is a lovely collection of unusual, enjoyable and imaginative short stories. They range quite widely in style and content, from fairy-tale-like to science fiction and fantasy, and contain a generous sprinkling of clever ideas and wit. Each is intriguing, amusing and has a great twist at the end. My two favourites were Coprolith and The End, but the others make for a good read too. Many of the ideas stay with you long after you’ve read them. Highly recommended.

An IHIBRP Recommended Read Award and an amazing review to go with it!

Author J.B.Richards had this to say about my short story:

If you read one short story that teaches self-love, tolerance, and acceptance to people of all genders, races, sexual orientations, religious persuasions, and ages, let it be “Asylum”. This short story is most certainly destined to be a children’s classic.

Asylum (illustrated children’s story)

I was inspired by some illustrations by Hauke Vagt to write this short story. When Hauke read it he was inspired by it to create the amazing artwork for this book.

To date we are unsure if the artist inspired the author, the author ispired the artist or if Asylum just inspired itself.

This short story earned an IHIBRP review recommended read award.

What readers say:

Terrific, propelling story written in an inviting and slightly wicked voice.
Lahey and Vagt have seamlessly paired together to create the perfect union of dark humor, tragedy, and salvation in “Asylum”.
Wow. That was very powerful. Short and evocative and with an important message.
I have enjoyed this little gem a lot, it’s like a breath of fresh air.
