Elon Musk is the Dogefather, or so I’ve been told.
Elon, a.k.a. SpaceX-Man, Technoking, and Teslord of Spacefaring Roadsters has a new nickname: The Dogefather.
So what is Doge, and why is Elon its father?
Simply put, Doge is a meme, and Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency, invented by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer as a joke, to troll the more famous and insanely expensive Bitcoin, which, at the time of this article, runs at about fifty-eight thousand dollars per coin.
Cryptocurrencies are a funny little thing by themselves. They start with a value of zero, and the more people start trading with them, the higher their value.
So it’s even funnier that cryptomoney, already intrinsically funny, was what two programmers chose as the container for a dog-faced meme which comments everything with doge-grammar, which is very language, much wow.
Adding to the funniness, is the fact that the meme-coin jumped up a whopping 13,000 percent from January 1st. This means that if you bought $1,000 worth of Dogecoin on January 1, your investment would be now worth over $141,89.
Haha.
Elon Musk is said to be one of the biggest investors in cryptocurrency, and a staunch fan of the shiba-inu-themed coin.

I have put about $120 in Doge and, in about two weeks, I’ve seen the amount double, triple, drop back to 150 and every single number in between. But the average trend is always up.
